I designed this book tour to travel to all the magnificent people featured in What If We Get It Right? Because I knew there would be sparkling conversations, we recorded them so those not in the room could also feel the sparks. ✨
For the next few weeks, we’ll be bringing you two podcast episodes a week. Want to serve them up while they’re hot and fresh! And then the pace will ebb. The plan is still to only write to you when I’ve got something significant to say, so please ride with me in this short-term, high-frequency phase. 💁🏽♀️
L to R: Bill McKibben, me, Abigail Dillen, and Ariana Brocious at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.
So, let’s hit it. Excited to share this conversation recorded at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco earlier this month, for the Climate One radio show and podcast. It features journalist and environmental legend Bill McKibben, founder of Third Act, and tenacious environmental attorney, Abigail Dillen, president of Earthjustice. Both are interviewed in the book, but we covered new ground here, together: fossils for fossil fuels, changes in the Supreme Court, the Environmental Justice For All Act, some lessons instilled by my parents, love politics, and so much more.
REMINDER
Two weeks until Election Day! So, time to research the candidates who are running in your area, up and down the ballot, for their climate platforms. And, if you can, volunteer for Environmental Voter Project and/or Lead Locally to make sure we’re getting environmentalists to the polls and supporting the candidates who will prioritize climate solutions. Local elections matter too!
WHAT’S NEXT
Home by Election Day, but before then Boston (tonight!), Portland (Maine!), Blue Hill, Detroit, Chicago, and Atlanta. All the details are at getitright.earth/tour. Hope to see you on the road. And thanks for listening!
