Hi, it’s Ayana 👋🏽
Like many of us, I’ve been craving a digital space to share some thoughts and to connect with more substance. You and me and no algorithms between us. 💛
When I finished writing What If We Get It Right?: Visions of Climate Futures, I found myself wanting an intellectual home where I (we!) could continue grappling with big What if…? questions: What if climate adaptation is beautiful? What if we we act as if we love the future?
This is a place to parse and muddle, together. Less about the what and more about the how. More about culture than about data. And all about climate solutions, about the ways forward. Get ready to jump in the comments and share your thoughts. 🙋🏽♀️ We, humanity, have some shit to figure out.
This is an experiment.
I don’t have a detailed plan. I’m aiming to post somewhere in the weekly to monthly range, when I’ve got something that feels worth your time. For now, all posts are free, but I’m noodling on perks for paid subscribers (open to suggestions/requests!) for the longer term.
Maaaaayyybe this will be the place where I launch a new podcast of sorts 🎙️, sharing audio of conversations with experts and friends about what getting it right looks like to them, and how we get from here to there. The heart of my new book is 20 such conversations, and I’m finding myself craving more. Hosting How To Save a Planet was fun! So, we’ll see… [UPDATE: Y’all wanted a podcast, so we ya made it! 🎙️ Hope you’re enjoying it. It’s now live on Apple and Spotify too.]
Adventures in climate solutions, are you in?
Subscribe, tell your friends, and order What If We Get It Right? from your favorite local bookstore. Thank you 🥰
