Well, it’s been a wildly eventful 100+ days, to say the least. Many journalists have written helpful summaries of all the horrors that have unfolded in climate and environmental policy since the inauguration. I won’t duplicate that (linking to a few below), but thought it might be useful to share a few resources that are helping me keep track of it all + offer a call to action.
Let’s start with action, shall we?
I’m teaming up with Evergreen Action (see video up top) to protect the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and all the real, tangible progress it’s making — like electric vehicle factories, solar panels on schools, offshore wind farms, and 100s of thousands of good clean energy jobs.
As I write this, Republicans in Congress are charging forward with a budget bill that would eviscerate crucial IRA tax incentives — the same incentives that are projected to cut greenhouse gas emissions by ~45% by 2035.
If they tear apart the IRA, that would increase our energy bills, put clean energy jobs at risk, and threaten our progress to reduce carbon pollution. Bad, bad, bad.
So, ring those phones! It’s the PERFECT time to contact your members of Congress and urge them to protect our climate progress. Here’s an easy and quick way to do that, complete with a script:
And spread the word by re-posting this video/message on LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Instagram.
Environmental Policy Trackers 🕵🏽♀️
There is just so much backward motion on federal environmental protection happening at lightening speed. Some excellent tools to help you keep track:

Archived Federal Data 📊
And these nincompoops in the Administration are also straight up deleting environment and climate data from government websites, data communities and businesses rely on and that our tax payer dollars paid to collect. BIG shoutout to all those working to archive federal datasets and tools before they disappear. (It’s totally bonkers that we need to do this.)
Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool, now via Environmental Data and Governance Initiative
FEMA Future Risk Tool, now via The Guardian (Yes, it’s come this, a foreign news outlet archiving US govt data to keep it accessible to Americans.)
EPA Environmental Justice Screen Tool, now via Public Environmental Data Partners
- has archived some federal reports in our Resource Hub
For more resources, datasets and tools check out Public Environmental Data Partners
